Scanning ensures safety when performing flat saw cutting into concrete
At a job site in Honolulu, HI, Penhall was asked to scan for any obstructions prior to flat sawing. The concrete that was scanned was 5400 linear feet, where we were able to find and mark all obstructions to ensure safety when cutting.
Ground penetrating radar used to locate obstruction before core drilling
When Penhall was tasked to scan for another client in Honolulu, HI, we used ground penetrating radar in 6 different areas of the location. This was to ensure that it was safe to core drill 6″ holes into the 12″ thick concrete slab.
Finding rebar and identifying other hazards in suspended concrete slab
At yet another location in Honolulu, HI, ground penetrating radar was used to identify hazards within a 6″ suspended concrete slab. After scanning, the client was now safe to have an 8″ diameter core drill performed.
Concrete scanning detects post tension cables
We recently worked with another client in Honolulu, where we did concrete scanning on 120 different areas at a single location. Penhall was able to detect post tension cable prior to core drilling as to avoid risking any accidents.
We mark the rebar and other hazards after scanning
