Honolulu Utility Locating Projects that Penhall Worked On

Keep your project safe with concrete scanning and utility locating

utility locate in Honolulu Our analysts performed concrete scanning and utility locating before a dry-stand pipe relocation/excavation on grade took place. The contractor did not want to hit any power, irrigation, or gas lines present in their proposed layout. Using the RD7000, the analyst traced irrigation, power lines and a single gas line. These were within range of the contractor’s proposed trench location. After using the RD locator, the analyst used the SIR 4000 3-wheel cart to verify once again, the utility markings and explore any other hazards present in the soil. After reviewing the marked areas with the data collected, the contractor was happy with the report and utilized our services again the same day at another jobsite.

Penhall helps to locate any hazards, mainly a 480 power line, before demolition of an old conveyor belt for H-Power

utility locating hawaiiPenhall Technologies received a request for GPR scanning and utility locating a concrete slab on grade at Covanta, locally known here in Hawaii as H-Power (Honolulu Program of Waste Energy Recovery). The contractor’s purpose in having us scan and perform the utility locate of the 54’x51’ area was to enable him to proceed with a demolition of an old conveyor belt system to make way for a brand new one. The job required two GPR Analysts, two RD7000’s and one three wheel cart. There were numerous conduits and pipes throughout the requested scan area. The contractor’s main concern was to identify the main 480 power in which he requested green paint to be sprayed. We carefully examined the data and informed the contractor of our results and he became a happy Customer from beginning to end. Our Hawaii field office will ensure that you have the right data and tools for any task presented to our Team.
