Locate underground electrical lines

Houston utility locatingPenhall Technologies performed a utility locate for a plumbing company. The plumbing company wanted our analyst to show exactly where the electrical lines run relative to the property lines. Our analyst marked out two private power lines running from the building to the transformer. Also, he located the power running from a windmill to the transformer and from the generator to the transformer. The analyst used the RD 7100 to trace out all the private power lines on the property. To complete the project, our client flew a drone over the marks to get an aerial view.

Ground penetrating radar locates private utility lines

An elementary school in Downey, California looked to Penhall Technologies to perform a private utility locate in preparation for utility upgrades.  The customer was going to excavate an area next to the school to reroute sewer, power, and water lines. The client had public utility locating done previously. But, they needed one more area scanned to ensure there weren’t any  lines running through the proposed area of excavation. The client knew of a major water line running right through the middle of the excavation area. The analyst was able to find it and traced the line directly back to the water valve itself. Other objects were also found with GPR and were marked accordingly.
