Penhall Technologies was needed to perform a utility locate in San Carlos, California. This job consisted of performing verification of existing markings, as well as finding utilities that had never been marked and mapped. Our analyst performed a locate for power, telecommunications, and water. The analysts used the GSSI three-wheeled cart in conjunction with the RD 7000. Penhall was able to locate several unmarked targets as well as verify others.

Recently, Penhall Technologies performed private utility scanning for an engineering firm. The client was working in the demolition and upgrade of large diesel fuel tanks. These provide power to air traffic control relay stations for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Penhall Technologies had to locate any major electrical and water lines in the area. The analyst mapped out any of the grounding grids that were running through the area. This allowed the demolition process to be sped up, keeping the project ahead of schedule and on budget.
