Penhall was asked to scan an 8″ thick concrete on a roof in Fremont, CA. The client was looking for post tension cable along with any other obstructions before core drilling in two areas.

In San Francisco, CA, we located existing post tension cables, conduits, and rebar within a 12″ thick suspended concrete slab. In addition, we scanned another area of 24″ x 24″.

Penhall had the opportunity to perform concrete scanning for the San Francisco Zoo inside their birdcage. We scanned an 8″ thick concrete slab for obstructions in four 16″ x 16″ areas prior to their installing anchors.

To ensure accuracy, we use a number of GPR antennas
