Orange County Sanitation District- Plant 2

Penhall Company performed the “P2-110 Consolidated Demolition Project” at Orange County Sanitation Districts Huntington Beach plant to demolish 14 individual structures, as well as 5 concrete tunnels, in the middle of an active waste water treatment plant. The purpose of the project was to remove obsolete structures and to clear way for future expansion. As part of this project Penhall Company removed two digesters and a concrete pump structure. In total over 2,250 CY of concrete was demolished and processed for this portion of work. Penhall Company worked with licensed engineers to determine the most advantageous and safest way to remove these digester structures.
