PROJECT

Atlanta International Airport

Location: Atlanta, GA
Service: Flat Sawing, Removal
Completion: September 2018

PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS

Sawcut taxiway and runway into 6 ‘ x 12’ panels for slab crab removal at the world’s busiest airport. All work performed during temporary nightly shutdown of the taxiway and runway so that the airport could resume normal operations each morning at 5:30 am. Teamed with ABC Cutting Contractors of Atlanta to meet the owner’s accelerated schedule. Sawcut in excess of 76,000 LF of concrete paving up to 17” thick. The team of up to fifteen (15) saws beat the owner’s schedule and completed the work in fifteen (15) night closures. That’s over one mile of sawing and slurry cleanup in a single runway shutdown with planes landed on the same runway the next morning.
