Penhall Company was contracted to perform wall sawing, concrete removal, and breaking at the Capitol Park Hotel in Sacramento, CA, for the government sector. The project scope included:
- Wall Sawing: Cutting two 7’ x 8’ door openings and two 3’-6” x 2’-6” louver openings in a 20” thick concrete wall
- Precision Removal: Utilizing controlled demolition methods to safely break and remove concrete sections
- Confined Space Execution: Strategic planning to cut and clear debris without affecting surrounding structures
- Innovative Load-Out Solution: Breaking concrete inward and using a mini excavator with a bucket attachment for efficient removal
- Safety & Coordination: Overcoming site constraints with expert execution and adherence to strict safety protocols
