PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS

Concrete Cutting & Removal at PG&E Rocklin
Penhall was contracted to perform flat sawing, GPR scanning, concrete breaking, and removal for an interior tenant improvement project at PG&E Rocklin in Rocklin, CA. The project involved saw cutting, breaking, and removing 3,000 SF of concrete slab-on-grade, with thicknesses up to 8 inches. GPR scanning was conducted before cutting to ensure safety and precision, while advanced flat sawing techniques were used to systematically cut and remove the slab.

Scope of Work:

  • Flat Sawing & GPR Scanning – Precision cutting with pre-scan safety assessments
  • Concrete Breaking & Removal – Efficient removal of thick slab-on-grade
  • Optimized Sawing Methods – Use of diesel-powered saws for faster cutting
  • Worksite Coordination – Clean and organized execution to minimize disruptions

By utilizing industrial fans and open bay doors, our team safely operated diesel-powered saws instead of electric, significantly increasing productivity and ensuring a timely project completion.

Penhall delivered precise and efficient concrete cutting at PG&E Rocklin, leveraging advanced sawing techniques to streamline operations and ensure a seamless project completion.
