PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS

Turnkey removal of concrete turbine deck at Progress Energy Power Plant. Core drill, wire saw and removal of 1,100 cy of concrete. Shutdown project required 24 hour / 7 day week schedule to complete. Three to four wire saws and up to six core drillers working around the clock. Rigged, pick and transported approx. 50 sections of concrete weighing up to 140,000 lbs.

Penhall crews worked 24 schedule / 7 days a week from Nov. 3rd to Dec. 5th. Worked through the Thanksgiving Holiday. Averaged a 14 man crew per shift. Penhall crews from NC, SC, VA, GA, AL and CA. Total of 7,927 manhours incident free Total Concrete Removed: 1,100 CY / 2,200 Tons Captured 100% of slurry, recycled water for re-use Disposed of approx. 12,000 gallons of slurry Wire Sawing Quantity: 9,950 SF Core Drilling Quantity: 2,150 LF.

Penhall crews worked 24 schedule / 7 days a week from Nov. 3rd to Dec. 5th, working through the Thanksgiving holiday with an average of 14 crew members per shift.
